One of the major challenges facing today's poultry grower is litter management. With high propane gas prices as well as tigther and more energy efficient houses, closer monitoring and better moisture and ammonia control practices are required. The introduction of attic air inlets used during brooding and in-between flocks to conserve fuel and promote drier litter is also another factor that is changing litter management practices.
